Brian Jones is 5 feet 9 inches tall. The murderer is 5 feet 3 inches tall, so Brian Jones is not the murderer.
The suspect who weighs 140 pounds is 5 feet 3 inches tall. The suspect who weighs 140 pounds has a wife named Pam. The suspect who has a wife named Pam was carrying a purple umbrella. Therefore, one suspect weighs 140 pounds, is 5 feet 3 inches tall, has a wife named Pam, and was carrying a purple umbrella. But Tom Martin weighs 220 pounds, David Morrison was carrying a red umbrella, Bill Graig has a wife named Judy, and Brian Jones is 5 feet 9 inches tall. Therefore, the only suspect who could be this suspect is Bob Davis. Since this suspect, Bob Davis, is 5 feet 3 inches tall and the murderer is 5 feet 3 inches tall, he is the murderer.
